About

We are an adult system that currently lives in a body that is trans, queer, fat, and disabled. We are partnered to valerian house and Neitherlandsmen. In our daily life, we do art and pet care, and we are fans of all kinds of media from music to video games to movies. (Ask us about superhero media or alt hip-hop.)As for our system, we believe we have been plural since birth but became aware of our system in 2016. Since then, our system has had an exponential growth that has calmed down to average out about ~35 new members a year. Where it currently sits, we are around ~500 known members, though obviously not all of them front or are even interested in the outside world.We don't use host terminology too much and we don't consider ourselves to really have a host. We are a collective unit of people living our life together. We are made up of several different systems within our system (see the Members page for more information.)If you're curious about us and want to get to know us, shoot us a message on Discord! We're generally super friendly and always around to help or just chat. If you're interested in our art or possibly want a commission, DM us as well and let's talk about it!

Grayson is the person who was born in the body and has been around the longest. He is a werewolf and prefers to spend his time in full werewolf form. Kind, passionate, and always willing to lend a paw, we couldn't ask for a better "leader."

15 Sprites ranked by how good they'd be as dog sitters

Inspired by this article our partners showed us regarding Lord of the Rings characters. We were thinking about which ones of us would be the best, and the worst, at doing this. Some extra lore is that we have been doing pet care specializing in dogs for about 4 years now, so we do sometimes make note of who is good around pets and who should stay far away. (Luckily, most of us are good.)

15. Feli

(she/her, plural they/them)
Feli is legally and contractually not allowed around dogs. Not because we think she'll do anything wrong, but it's just something we have in writing. Just in case she considers doing pagan old god magic around your animals.

(he/him, it/its)
Similar to Feli, just has a bad history around dogs. He doesn't mean to! He loves dogs. But he will value the human he is caring for over any canine companion, to everyone's detriment.

13. Stan

(he/him)
Stan Pines isn't a lousy dog sitter, but he is kind of a lousy man. Your dog will be fed and walked, but you'll also return to see your dog has picked up some concerning habits. Such as: smoking Cuban cigars, cheating at poker, and committing tax evasion.

12. Dylan

(he/him)
Dylan is a werewolf, which is usually a hit or miss on whether dogs will like them when they front. For some other reason, dogs do not like him much. He'll get the job done, but both him AND the dogs are gonna be grumpy about it.

11. Reiner

(he/it, plural they/them)
Reiner isn't even BAD with dogs, okay? He's actually quite good with pets. HOWEVER. He is notably the one of us who has been bitten pretty badly by dogs. Twice. (And a few cat scratches here and there, but he says we shouldn't hold those against him.) For this reason, he is on the list, and low.

10. Kratos

Sure, the gods will never let him rest. But that won't stop him from protecting your dogs from them. Epitome of never wanted a dog before this but would care for it with his life. He is stern and not overly affectionate, but your dog will feast on the finest cuts from the hunt Kratos brought them along on.

9. Daryl

(he/him)
Daryl is better with dogs than people, though that's not saying much. He's also bad with animal names, he had a dog for several years and never named him anything other than "Dog." In the mid category for that reason. However, will fight through an apocalypse for your pet.

8. Damian

(he/him)
Damian was raised as the heir to a league of assassins, so he doesn't really offer much room for leniency, including when he cares for your dogs. Your dogs will return to you well-trained, regimented, and a little more afraid than you left them.

7. Butler

Like Damian, Butler is a highly regimented and schedule-oriented person. Unlike Damian, he will be much more affectionate to your pet and schedule time for frolicking, fun, and belly rubs. He may take your dog along for some mystical fae business, but he will keep them safe in a Baby Bjorn. (Lycaon here, Butler and I could be interchangeable on this spot on the list, but we needed more humans here!)

Maybe it's because all his friends were dogs beforehand but dogs just love him now - which is rare as it goes for the other wolves in Sprites! He does best in a group of playful pups who want enrichment, friendship, and belly rubs.

I think (Ryuji, the one writing this) that if you are assigned fictional therian then you should be allowed to be good with dogs. Especially when you're literally called a wolfbrother and talk with dogs??? Sounds pretty dog friendly to me. (And it's a good thing, because dogs do listen to him and get along with him well.)

Davrin has sworn a life oath to protect your dogs at any cost. Before, he was charged with the protection of a nearly extinct species, so you can say he takes his job pretty seriously. He will bring that kind of hard-headed and tender-hearted attention to your pets.

3. Magnus

(We decided Magnus can get a Big Picture because this art of fer is beautiful!) The only reason he's this low is because he doesn't have magical powers - though he does have +10 to animal handling checks. In the past, he ran an adventuring academy for dogs, so he will make sure your companion is up to the journey and has a blast while doing it.

Antonio, on the other hand, has the magical power to talk to animals, so they're kind of his whole life. He tends an entire sanctuary of animals and pets of all kinds, treating them as his own family. He is truly magical with them.

At the very top of our list is Tavros, who's been here the longest and also has special talk to animals powers. Every pet we've had or sat has loved Tav to bits, and he truly does have a way with all of them. Maybe secretly being a bull helps in this area.

Could technically be listed in The OGs group, but a much better fit here. Castiel has the ability to edit, hide, obscure, or recall almost all of our collective memory, but none of the rest of us really have viewing permissions. Yes, it's weird. He uses this ability to protect and preserve us.

Subsystems / Subclusters

We as a system are comprised of several different systems within. Yes, it even gets confusing to us. Here's most of the subclusters (clusters of people with the same kind of identity goop) that you'll see floating around. Again, not everyone is listed here, but this is about as complete as it gets.

Some other areas of the system that should be documented are the main planet/system, the planet of Mars that is connected to it, and Unionium, a planet in orbit of the main system. Mars and Unionium are visitable and inhabitable by all inhabitants of the system

A survey regarding the experience of fictives with the fandom spaces, seeking as many responses as the system filling it out thinks they need. It's currently accepting submissions and will likely be doing so until March 2027. Hopefully, the results will come a few months after that.

While we didn't create this document, we have undertaken caring for and curating it as we learn more.
